3. Does the child experiencing difficulty
breathing?
Many acid reflux sufferers have difficulty breathing because of the impact of acid in the
esophagus. This can create a temporary blockage or can even
develop a longer term problem when scar tissue forms on the lining of the esophagus making it harder for air
to travel through the wind pipe. If your child experiences
chronic coughing, sneezing, or difficulty breathing, acid reflux may be the cause.
