Acid Reflux Sore Throats   


 

How are sore throats caused by acid reflux? 

 

Acid reflux sore throats are a very common symptom that is often overlooked. When people get sore throats during the same time as acid reflux, then people should understand that sore throat is a symptom of acid reflux. People are usually not in a hurry to go to the doctor when they get acid reflux. For a few of them, the problem is solved by taking just antacids. In fact many of them think that the problem will go away, but this is not usually the case. 

When people are very uncomfortable with acid reflux sore throats then, they go to the doctor. If the acid reflux is left untreated, then the acidity levels would increase, that worsens the situation.  Then the food is hardly digested, but comes out through the alimentary canal.  Vomiting may occur on a regular basis for those suffering from acid reflux. They also get wet burps where they can feel the digested and the undigested food.

In fact many people drink hot tea or take some medicines thinking that they may have got the seasonal flu. Very few people can actually attribute the condition to acid reflux.

H1 or H2 blockers are prescribed by the doctors for those that have acute acid reflux sore throats as acid reflux remedies. It helps to neutralize the acid in the throat and stops the acid from hurting the sore throat. The other acid reflux remedy is to have a diet which doesn’t aggravate the problem of acid reflux. Caffeinated drinks such as tea and coffee, chocolates, citrus fruits, peppermint should be avoided by those that have acid reflux sore throats. 

Acid reflux remedies should be done at the earliest. If left untreated they can burn the insides of alimentary canal and can even cause bleeding ulcers inside the body. Another acid reflux remedy is taking aloe vera for acid reflux. Aloe vera helps to soothe the muscles of the throat. It’s also been seen that the person feels really better when they take aloe vera juice. 

Aloe vera for acid reflux 

In fact, aloe vera juice also acts a healing agent for the lower esophagus. The stomach acid is required to digest the food. If a person has acid reflux sore throats, taking too many antacids can actually suppress the functioning of the stomach. This can also be quite a bad news. For this reason aloe vera for acid reflux works really great. Aloe vera has many benefits in other areas too such as controlling diabetes, moisturizer, healing small cuts and picks. 

By keeping these different acid reflux remedies in mind, you should have a better understanding of acid reflux sore throats and how to prevent them.  On a personal note, I have used aloe vera for acid reflux and found it to be very effective for me.
